CHARLOTTE, NC April 29, 2003 – Envirotech Systems Worldwide, Inc.(OTCBB: ELUT), announced a new partnership for its tankless water heater with KMH Distributors in Charlotte, NC. Unlike a conventional water heater, which continuously heats water and stores it in a tank until needed. The ESI 2000 tankless water heater only heats water upon demand, which significantly reduces the amount of energy spent heating water during off peak times of the day or when buildings or facilities are unoccupied.
In today’s environment, saving natural resources and buying appliances that significantly reduce energy costs have become extremely important issues for homeowners, builders, industrial architects and landlords.
A conventional water heater wastes a tremendous amount of energy heating water that is never used. A U.S. Department of Energy Study of Tank Water Heaters found that the water heating process consumes 20% or more of an average household’s annual energy expenditure, which is approximately $450 per year for homes with an electric water heater. The ESI 2000 will save a consumer 40-60% of that cost each year, reducing the demand on electricity and water.
Based on the control panel’s settings, the ESI 2000’s advanced sensors read the water's flow rate six to eight times per second and adjust the power flow temperature as necessary. The ESI 2000’s sensors heat the water to the exact temperature desired by the customer. This means that when the end user turns on their hot water it will be delivered at the exact temperature preset using the control panel. No cold water is needed to balance out the temperature. This feature is very useful for families with small children or elderly members that might accidentally be burned by scalding hot tap water from tank water heaters.
The ESI 2000 takes up very little space, measuring 16” x 13.5” x 3.5.” The unit can be flush mounted inside a wall between 16” centered studs, which means the units can be mounted inside a wall or cabinet anywhere in a house or commercial structure. Extra space is now given back to many home owners where their current tank resides.
ESI 2000 models are available for a variety of applications, including single- and multi-family residences, cabins, trailers, restaurants, hotels, office buildings, hospitals, nursing homes, etc. More information on the ES1 2000 series product line can be found at www.carolinatankless.com.
